Science
Behind every TURN urn lies years of scientific curiosity and craftsmanship. The material at its core was developed in collaboration with a Latvian University material scientists, whose research focused on creating a dual-state biodegradable composite, one that remains strong and stable when dry, yet softens and dissolves naturally when returned to the soil.
This innovation didn’t appear overnight. It took dozens of experiments, failed molds, and quiet breakthroughs to find the perfect balance between durability and disintegration. The result is a material that behaves almost like nature itself, resilient when held, humble when buried.
Made from locally sourced minerals, plant fibers, and natural binders, the composition is free of plastics, glues, or toxins. Each iteration refined how it interacts with water, oxygen, and microorganisms, ensuring that, once planted, it breaks down gently and becomes part of the living soil instead of polluting it.
It’s the meeting point of science and ritual: laboratory precision fused with human hands.
A product designed not just to last, but to belong.
